How to navigate
Tab to Skip to map, then open Color County, Color State, or Color Country and type the name. Escape closes a popup.
What you can do without a mouse
- Tab from the top of the page and use Skip to map.
- Open the menu, Feedback, Help, and Admin with the keyboard.
- Unlock the map, then open Color County, Color State, or Color Country. Type the name and press Enter. A line under the box says it was colored.
- In a place popup, Tab through the fields. Escape closes the open popup.
- On a phone, tap a county, then tap Color this county. Go to State opens that state. A keyboard can type the name in Color County, Color State, or Color Country and press Enter.
- Visitors cannot upload photos. On an admin map that already has photos, the selected photo is named for a screen reader, not only marked with a green ring.
- The page can be zoomed. Motion is reduced when your device asks for that.
What still needs a mouse
- Drawing a road, a cruise, a train line, or a shape on the map. To add a road without drawing, use Add Route and type the ZIP codes. Tab to each ZIP box and press Enter.
- Dragging a route point to a new spot.
- Dropping a pin by tapping the map. Use Add Coordinates and type the latitude and longitude instead.
- Set Map Icon and Print PDF, JPG, and PNG. Those use a box you drag on the map.
Color is not the only cue
Visited states, countries, and counties are colored. Each colored place is also named in the side lists and in the counts, such as states visited.
